A family villa with a simple concept of maximizing the connection between the interior and exterior. The existing mature trees on the property are complemented by new plantings, and it is the intention to connect this almost park-like garden environment with the house itself. The orientation of the main living rooms, views through the interior layout, intimate corners, and open spaces are all part of this design. The mass and organizational concept of this project aimed from the very beginning and the first site visit to achieve this.
An energy-efficient house for a young family on a plot in the village of Šestajovice near Prague in a newly developed area. The mass arrangement responds to the situation of the plot, hence the house is located in the northern part, and the double garage with a workshop is in the southeast corner near the driveway. This achieves partial screening of the property from neighbors' views while preserving the view to the southwest, where there are fields, an old farmstead, and a newly planted row of trees.
In the future, it is planned to connect the land behind the house, which will be linked through a covered terrace on the west. This land will serve as a playground and plans include the construction of a ground-floor structure with a covered swimming pool and sauna.
The house is designed for a four to five-member family. On the ground floor, there is the main living space, a bathroom, technological facilities which also serve as a laundry room with a drying room, and a study.
Upstairs, there is a bedroom, two children's rooms, a bathroom, and a dressing room. There is also a playroom, which currently illuminates the hallway and staircase, and if needed, can be used as a third children's room, or a guest room.

The house is designed as passive. Heating and hot water are provided by a ground-source heat pump, but a significant portion of the heat comes from passive solar gains. Heat loss is prevented by adequate insulation and the ideal orientation of living spaces. In the summer, the house is shaded by intelligently controlled external blinds, and the main living area is protected from intense summer rays by a balcony and terrace roof. Thanks to the energy solution, we were able to obtain a Green Savings subsidy for technological equipment to almost the maximum possible extent.
